chapter nine: four pillars of a precious promise

if Romans 8:28 is applicable only to those who are called, then surely it in not applicable to those who are not. if final glorification is not our ultimate destiny/desire, then this verse would make no sense to us.

so if faith in His promises and desire for glorification in Him is an act of God (as well it can only be), then who can be saved? what can those who lack such desire do? what do they know what to do? how can they even be made aware of their impending death?

after so many years, i have yet to find an answer to this question.

God, are you cruel? if we cannot lose salvation by our own accord, then surely we cannot gain it either. so then it is left for You to choose, in You infinite wisdom.

perhaps what i lack is not an answer, but trust in You.
